Quality food and lovely people. It's simple, small, and feels authentic.
I was in Blackstone for 5 days and had to go twice. Al pastor tacos were as close to my favorite ones in San Diego that I've ever come across. Service was TOP TIER! And the prices are super reasonable. Absolutely give them a try!
We found this place while out of town. The staff was so nice! Tried Sopes for the first time. I was able to try one with beef, one with pork, and one with chicken. Also ordered beef hauraches. We were very happy with the food and the experience. Would recommend.
Some of the best tacos I’ve had in a long time, at a price that feels almost suspicious in a good way. The whole place has a colorful, no-frills warmth — more like eating in someone’s home than a restaurant. Service was quick and genuinely friendly from the moment we walked in. The tortillas are fresh corn and you can taste it. The salsas are the kind you keep going back to between bites. Everything tasted made-by-hand in the best sense — flavorful, unfussy, real. No pretense, no gimmicks. Just sal y amor, as advertised.
Fantastic food! I believe it to be authentic. Green sauce served with chips was awesome! Service was great
Came here late Sunday evening with a couple of colleagues and we had the best experience. This family owned restaurant is a hidden gem and truly deserves a high recommendation. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with so much warmth and kindness. They were incredibly welcoming and never rushed us out, even though we came in close to closing time. They treated us like family and it genuinely felt that way 🥹 The food was as delicious as it looks. Everything was homemade and made to order. The tortillas were fresh, not store bought, and that green salsa was a standout. You can tell it is made with real ingredients like tomatillo and fresh herbs, not watered down at all. We were devouring it with the chips. Portions were generous. I had the chicken tacos and could barely finish, and the two guys I was with loved theirs as well. Drinks were also really well done. I had the pineapple agua fresca and it was sweet in a natural way, not artificial. We spent less than $20 and had amazing food and such a great experience. I love supporting places like this. If you are nearby, I would highly recommend. Easily one of the best Mexican dishes I have had.
This is the best authentic Mexican restaurant around. The tacos are amazing, especially the carnitas. I come here whenever I have an excuse!
Food was amazing, the salsa was perfection, tacos (had pollo, asada, lengua, carnitas) we're all delicious, and everyone else in my group seemed very satisfied. I recommend eating here if you're in the area!
